Is there anything Canada can do now? |

Yes. Several other Western nations have been in the same position as Canada, with their own nationals detained in Guantanamo Bay, accused of very serious terrorism-related crimes. All those nations successfully asked for the repatriation of their citizens, and in some cases, their permanent residents as well. These countries include Australia, the UK, Germany, France, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark and Spain. Canada has not even asked the US to repatriate Omar Khadr. Among Western nations, Canada stands alone. It's time for Canada to act. Repatriate Omar Khadr. |
